Sue Frampton

Master Practitioner of NLP, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner.

I am a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner and Life Coach.

Specialising in the Havening Techniques®, relatively new to this country it works perfectly alongside the more widely known modalities of NLP, Coaching and Hypnotherapy. The Havening Techniques® is a method, which is designed to change the brain to de-traumatise the memory and remove its negative effects on both our psyche and body.

When traumatic events occur the brain records or encode the information permanently to keep us safe from similar events in the future.  Sometimes this is very unhelpful and impacts on our lives in negative ways.  Research has shown that by applying specific touch (stroking the upper arms/face/hands) and distraction immediately after a distressing memory or bad feeling has been recalled, the link between recall and distress can be broken. This application of touch creates slow brain waves which in turn release feel-good chemicals and enzymes into the brain that de-link the encoded trauma on a biological level.  You will still be able to remember what happened but will no longer experience the distress when you think about it.

The Havening Techniques® are based in evolutionary biology and offer you the opportunity to live a healthier, hopefully, happier and more productive life. To Western eyes, to watch disturbing memories fade into the irretrievable past is nothing short of astonishing.

I have worked in a healthcare setting for most of my working life and more recently within the ambulance service for 13 years. Dealing with traumatic events on a daily basis, I am very comfortable working with people who have experienced traumatic events in their own lives.

Personal experience of M.E. /CFS drove me to seek alternative therapy, following a complete recovery I decided that she wanted to help other people to achieve the same results, and there began the road to a new career. I am passionate about helping people to move on with their lives and achieve their goals.
Working for the Ambulance service has given me the opportunity to see many clients and I’ve had much success with helping people to move on quickly from their traumatic experiences.
