Hypnotherapy, NLP & Hypno-Band Practitioner
Connecting the metaphysical and the physical, I qualified along with my partner Lorraine Gleeson as a hypnotherapist with the Institute of Natural Therapies in 2004. I also did further training Clinical Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) at the Proudfoot School of Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in Scarborough. I became Hypno-Band practitioner when it came out in 2009. I have worked with Anxiety, Bulimia, a variety of fears and phobias. I have also helped with some physical issues, frozen shoulder and a couple of detached Achilles tendon issues. One in conjunction with a physiotherapist. I have also worked with stroke victims improving cognitive skills communication and returning some movement to limbs. I have run weight loss groups in Clanfield. I have also run Relaxation workshops for Echoes’ Care Community Care, (where I worked part-time as a care assistant in people’s homes), helping office staff to reduce stress. I have used herbal medicine personally and found it did what I needed it to, without the risky side effects that mainstream drugs have. So already having an interest in herbal medicine as well as other natural healing, I was happy to be asked to work from Karen’s shop. Knowing her from the Medicine Garden (a busy herbal medicine shop in Emsworth, now closed) I liked her knowledge and enthusiasm for her work.
